Windows Mobile 6 (WM 6)
Finally! Windows Mobile 6 has been unveiled by Microsoft today. Previously known as `Crossbow’ , this is the last release before ‘Photon’ . Microsoft released WM 6 with completely new naming scheme, Wm 6 Professional for PDA phone, WM 6 Standard replacing Smartphone edition and the 3rd is for plain pocket PC called WM 6 Classic. This is a bit odd considering Photon will be a merge platform. Somebody who had a hand on this shining new OS reported a mark improvement in term of speed. Not much superficial upgraded features, u will see:
- HTML email support
- New version of Office Mobile
- Call history in now part of contacts
- Windows live
- Better support for Vista via MicrosoftMobile Device Center
- Internet Sharing
Although superficial polishing is not much, but i believe there`s a lot of backgroud repaired done. I hope the OEM will annouce the availability of upgrade ASAP . Im drooling to test it.
