Compressed air powered engine is making into mass production in India. This is the first time I ever hear about this new interesting concept. A quick search into famous paultan yields no result. It could be the most environmental friendly car after the electric car. There is virtually no byproduct released except Air. Yes this is farting gas car. Even the electric car is powered by toxic battery which later may pollute the environment.
WTF is Air powered Engine?
Basically the engine is powered by compressed air. The expanding compressed air is the key to drive modified pistons. Remember the steam locomotive train? The concept is basically the same, instead of using steam to move pistons, Air powered Engine is using air. An electric power is used to force compressed air into a special compressed tank.U can read more about the engine in wikipedia entry here or the official inventor`s site here. For more interesting explanation of the technology u may watch a video at the end of this post.
“Refueling is simple and will only take a few minutes. That is, if you live nearby a gas station with custom air compressor units. The cost of a fill up is approximately $2.00. If a driver doesn’t have access to a compressor station, they will be able to plug into the electrical grid and use the car’s built-in compressor to refill the tank in about 4 hours.
Only $2.00 to fuel up the car?Now tell me when the car will ever reach Malaysia?
