Apparently, when this technology matures, buildings can literally self-power when you coat it with this stuff. Basically, it functions by storing solar power in itself and disperses it in a controllable manner. On an unrelated note, I personally think that alternative energy sources are not really immature. It's just the traditional power supply corporations being fearful at the potential loss of revenues if these renewable energies eventually becomes mainstream. Call it a "conspiracy mindset" if you want... but every day you see more and more renewable energy technology being announce; but where are the contributions from existing power players?
