This is what every man needs. You know, I always feel too silly to ask for direction. Since 2004, I always drive on GPS assisted driving especially while traveling in KL. You can laugh at me but I admit it, remembering directions, roads, signs are my ultimate weakness. My last Bluetooth GPS receiver went EOL last month. My friend suggested the new Iblue 737 Bluetooth GPS receiver as a replacement. Being a “pokai” family man I couldn’t afford the lovely Nuvi 200.
The new Iblue 737 is equipped with MTK chipset. I did not have any experience using this new GPS chipset. My previous experience with NEMERIX and SiRF III was satisfactory. After poking around with the unit, I was impressed with MTK chipset. Although rated at -158dBm versus the -159dBm of the SiRF III chipset, it surpassed the SiRF III in real world usage. I was able to get a 3d fix in my room; an impossible performance with my previous Nemerix ( Iblue ) and SiRF III (Holux ).
Features
- 32-Channel all-in-view tracking
- MTK chipset with ultra high sensitivity to -158dBm
- Up to 25hrs operating time
- Fast Position Fix, Cold start 39s, Warm start 36s, Hot start 1s
- Smart Power Save Mechanism ( this is really a cool feature, it saves you battery)
- Fuzzy Auto On/Off
-Slim & fashion look
The package includes :
– Bluetooth GPS Receiver – iBlue 737-GPS x 1
- Traveler Power Adapter x 1
- DC cigarette lighter adapter x 1
- Lithium rechargeable battery x 1
- User’s manual with Warranty Card x 1 Warranty

I dont see any “Iblue” word as brand name?

The Unit

Look at the size of GPSr compare to my IPAQ rw6828
While you are reading this, I`m already on my way to Kuala Terengganu testing this unit for 160 km long driving.

@wahlau, yup. most common location of speed trap on a highway has been tagged in malsingmaps gps map.
@adila. its not actually tracing but only locating most common speed trap location. u know, police usually fire their speed trap camera from common location.
@shutter 6515 internal gps is good enuff. no need external one.
