Free Ipods for drug addicts

I want to be an addict too!! That’s what was in my mind when spotted this idiotic move by NHS on Kevin MD. The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) proposed this inducement scheme to tackle increasing drug problems in UK. Drug addict will be rewarded if they are tested drug free. The give starts with vouchers gradually increased to televisions or Ipod when they persistently tested drug free. I don’t know if NHS has so much money when some of patients were being denied treatment there!

Katherine Murphy, of the Patients Association, said: “Why should these people with self-inflicted problems be given priority over people who have a genuine illness? Some people with genuine disease are being forced to sell their homes for the medicines they need.”

That’s what happen when NHS being too “Nice”. Are they simply trying to start another Pavlov experiment to human? Is a lunatic taking over NHS asylum? Whats next? Free Iphone for drug addicts?
