Free Advertising with Adgridwork: A short review

Advertising is a good way to attract readers to your blog. Some probloggers use Adwords to advertise their sites. Adwords comes with contextual, targeted ads concept. The problem with Adwords is relatively expensive price you have to pay. Now, do you wonder how Larry Page and Sergey Brin are so fucking rich? What if I tell that you can get Adwords Contextual capability with other advertising company for free? Yes you read me rite, you don’t have to fork out any single penny to use Adgridwork.

Adgridwork works by link exchange principle but with an extra juice of contextual and targeted ads. Joining the service is easy; you just have to go through simple signup process and start your campaign after that. If u have an account with ReviewBack , you may use the same username and password. Adgridwork is from the same people who brought up Reviewback.

Adgridwork performance

I started Adgridwork on my blog on July 6, 2007. Currently Adgridwork ads are running on 4975 unique sites. With free concept, I expect the number will increase tremendously. Below is a copy of my Ad running on Adgridwork. If you notice, I intentionally put the ad in a different way to encourage click.

I put the ad code strategically higher on my site. This is to encourage Ad click which in return my Ad will be displayed frequently on the other sites. See the FAQ from Adgridwork on how the Metric-based Ranking System works:

To encourage our user’s to take their advertising campaigns seriously (as opposed to just slapping the Ad Code on some hidden page where visitor’s won’t see it), we have established a Merit-Based Ranking System. The idea is simple: Sites that generate higher numbers of ad clicks will be displayed more on other sites.

Now, with all these”fine tune” of Adgridwork , this is the result I got.

your ads have been displayed (on other sites) a total of 12,853 times

your sites have generated a total of 13 conversions ( my ads were clicked on other sites)

your ads have been clicked on a total of 22 times ( Ads clicked on my blog )

CTR : 0.10 %

My 2 cents

Although the CTR is bad with only 13 visitors coming via Adgridwork I still consider this is good. How much do you pay  Adwords for 13 clicks? Have a look at bad experiment of Adwords here:

Within hours, I got 103 page impression (where my ads appear but no one gives a shit) and ONE FREAKING click but I have to pay USD3.30 for that. Ish! Why the earnings I get are miserable USD0.03 and yet, the few keywords and ONE FREAKING click cost me USD3.30?

Another point to consider is my conversion maybe too low because of low traffic this blog had. I think if Adgridwork is to be implemented on high traffic blogs , the conversions will be much much better. Join Adgridwork now for free advertising.
