Is obesity contagious?
A new research claimed an infection from virus might be one of reasons for obesity. The potential culprit is adenovirus which causing cough, cold and sore throat. They found out when stem cells were exposed to adenovirus they simple grew into fat cells. Although this is just a preliminary finding, a new potential treatment of obesity in the form of vaccine is possible. However the study shows only some obesity problems are related to viral infection. Diet and healthy lifestyle is still the Holy Grail to combat obesity.
